Russ was first registered as a registered representative on October 12, 1987 with Merrill Lynch in Philadelphia; one week before the October “crash”. He moved to Aspen, CO in 1994 where he managed the Dean Witter/Morgan Stanley office through 2005. His practice focuses on retirement planning for individuals, 401k Plan Advisory Services for individuals, designing, implementing and servicing business retirement plans. Russ does not have a minimum account size, and works on both a commission and/or fee basis.

Russ is a 1983 graduate of New York Maritime College at Fort Schuyler where he received a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Marine Engineering. He is married to Lori, and has three children; Jessica, Dalton and Sara. He is a licensed multi-engine, instrument rated pilot, and enjoys skiing, golfing, and elk hunting.
